Publishing Regulations

First: General rules:

  1. The research must be novel and original and adopt the scientific method (including: the Research Problem/Hypothesis, Study Questions, Objectives and Previous Studies).

  2. The research must be linguistically correct and have a sound style.

  3. Fill out the "Research Ownership Declaration" form.

  4. The research must be accompanied by a one-page CV, including the researcher's contact information.

  5. The researcher must not disclose his name or any indication that reveals his identity in the text of the research or in the footnotes, and the word "researcher" is used instead.

  6. The number of words in the research must not exceed (10,000) words, and (8,000) words in less, including the Arabic and English summaries, sources and references.

  7. The number of words in the Arabic and English abstracts should not be less than (100) words, and not more than (200) words. (Includes: the research problem/hypothesis, the study objective. The method. The results).

  8. Attach the keywords within a maximum of seven words, and a minimum of five.

  9. The Arabic research should be written according to following: Sakkal Majalla font, the text size (15), and the footnotes (12). For English script, terms, references are in Times New Roman font written in 14 font and 10 for footnotes.

  11. The researcher will receive an email confirming receipt of the research, its acceptance for arbitration, or an apology for acceptance.

Second: Presentation, documentation and footnotes:

  1. Introduction: It includes a brief about: the topic, its importance, previous studies, the research problem, study questions and objectives. Sections of the study and the new things, added to the study, provided in the context of the speech without allocating titles in the introduction.

  2. Presentation: The research is presented according to the historical sequence of the study and the logical progression of information.      Subheadings do not use the chapter or the topic.  Rather, they take the division: First, Second, Third..., and what branches from them takes the numbers: 1) ... 2... (

  3. Results: The results are presented in the conclusion in a clear, sequential and accurate manner within a maximum of two pages.

  4. Documentation: References and footnotes take independent numbers at the bottom of each page.

  5. In the footnote, the author's last name, and the title of the book/research, and the page's number (for example: Ibn Bishr, Anwan Al Majd, 1/25. Al-Mutawa, ….., 25. Jawad Ali, ……., 114) should be included. When referring to the Internet, mention the following information: author's last name, the title of the research in brief, the name of the site, the link, and the date of the citation.

Third: Document the data of the sources and references as follows:

  1. Documents: The place where the document is kept. The entity to which the document belongs, the number and title of its file. The document number, if any, and its title and date.

  2. Manuscripts: The author's surname. His name. The title of the manuscript. The place where it is kept. Its number. For example: Ibn Al-Furat, Muhammad bin Abdul Rahim bin Ali (d. 807 AH), Tarikh Ibn Al-Furat, National Library in Paris, France, (ARABE 1595).

  3. Books: Author's surname, name, book title, country and place of publication, edition, and date. For example: Ibn Bishr, Othman bin Abdullah, Unwan Al-Majd fi Tarikh Najd, edited by Abdulrahman Al Sheikh, Riyadh: King Abdulaziz Foundation, Riyadh, 1402 AH.

  4. Periodicals: Author's surname, name, article title, journal’s name, publisher, country, volume number, issue number, date. For example: Al-Humaidan, Abdul Latif bin Nasser, al slat algbilah wa alsolth hklal alhgbah alMongol: Basra and Bahrain anmwhtja (656-814 AH/1258-1411 AD), Reading in the Tribal Scene, Journal of the Saudi Historical Society, King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Issue 31, 2015.

  5. University Theses: Author's surname, name, title, department, college, and university, date of approval. For example: Al-Otaibi, Ibrahim Awaid, altandhmat aledaria vi uhd almalk Abdulaziz (1343-1373 AH/1924-1953 AD), PhD Thesis, Department of History, College of Arts, King Saud University, 1413 AH.

  6. When referring to the source again, the data is abbreviated. Example: Ibn Bishr, Unwan Al-Majd, Vol. 1/110.

  7. Missing data: It is expressed as follows: Dr.M = without place of publication, Dr.N = without publisher, Dr.T = without date of publication.

  8. The verses of the Holy Qur’an are documented electronically from the Holy Qur’an, and the hadiths are extracted from their sources.

Fourth: Publication Methodology:

  1. The research submitted to the journal is subject to scientific arbitration, and the researcher is obligated to implement the arbitrators’ notes or explain what has not been amended.

  2.  The journal reserves the right for formulation purposes to delete, amend or slightly abbreviate in a consistent manner with its publishing style.

  3.  The journal is committed to providing the author of the published research with extracts from his research and a copy of the issue in which the research was published.

  4. The editorial board has the right not to justify its decisions regarding acceptance of publication or not, and the research will not be returned to its author, whether published or not.

  5. All correspondence is sent in the name of the editor-in-chief to the email: his_ksu_2023@ksu.edu.sa

Special: Publication fees:

  • Payment of arbitration and publication fees in the amount of (1000 SAR) to the account of the Saudi Historical Society at the Saudi National Bank (SA2210 000069100004484502), and a copy of the receipt is sent to the mail in which the research was sent.

  • - Postgraduate students are exempt from fees.

  • The amount will not be returned when apologizing for not accepting the research for publication.
